Dedicated in 2013, the Whitney Viewing Stand celebrates the generations (1901-present day) of extraordinary contributions and commitment from the Whitney Family to Saratoga Springs and our racing history. Located on the Oklahoma Training Track, the Whitney Viewing Stand offers visitors the opportunity to watch horses’ morning workouts and a glimpse of what goes into turning them into winning thoroughbreds. Designed in the style of an 1892 Racetrack Judges Tower, the three story structure is built with a Douglas fir framework, mahogany decking, cedar shakes and trim with a copper roof and a classic weathervane. Beautifully landscaped it is a landmark that will serve many generations to come and continue an iconic tradition of racing at Saratoga.
